Aftermath.

Firstly, I can not thank each and every one one for all of your support during my mission and in the months preceding it. Your prayers held me up and blessed me more than I can even comprehend.
As all things with erring man included, English Camp 2010 was not one hundred percent perfect nor an easy feat, yet, I am without a fraction of doubt that God was brought glory through it all. The Czechs are such a delightful people - my heart was warmed by their eager spirits and myself amazed continually by their brilliant minds. I miss them all so much already. . .

"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident." - (Psalm 27: 1, 3)

"Trust in the Lord and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him." - (Psalm 37:3-5, 7a)

I promised many of you pictures upon completion of my trip/mission/and touring afterward. Here is the fulfillment of that promise:

Just copy&paste either of the links below. There is great multitude of pictorial evidence of actually being in Prague, Czech Republic. ^_^

It's funny that what wasn't even an earthly thought one year ago is four days away from being touched, smelt, heard, seen and tasted; and I'm not packed yet.

Yet, it shall be golden...
God is so good to me!

an update of sorts

In roughly two weeks the 2010 English Camp Team will be on their way to the Czech Republic!  The coordinators, Roger and Sherry Wagner as well as Jerry and Marilyn Farnik, are working on final arrangements and the teaching team members are packing their bags.  Excitement only grows as we anticipate actually being in Prague, with the Czech people, and being able to minister, teach, and evangelize. God remains faithful and He is so good.
I'll be assisting Rebecca Lehart in teaching the 9-10 year olds English with Bible stories, scripture memory verses, and word games incorporated. We're both still working on pulling everything into completion - but we *are* making progress - things just seem to take a little longer when one of us (ahem, self, ahem) likes to add flair to something that is just as appropriate in black and white. Here's to hoping little Czech campers like colour.

The Presbytery of Southern California (OPC) has asked its congregations to have a Day of Prayer for the 2010 Czech English Camp on Sunday, July 11, 2010.  I hope you will be able to be join this team effort of prayer.

A couple weeks ago I was blessed to spend time with Anessa in California. Although it was mainly to attend her graduation ceremony (!!!), we were able to prepare and plan more for our upcoming travels.

I can't thank all of you enough for your continued financial and spiritual support. When the preparations and daily life threaten to pull me down I am upheld by your prayers, and I cherish that. Please continue as the last days slip by and reality draws near....
Love,
Havi

welcome to. . .

. . .the place where I will update you - or at least pretend to - on what is happening leading up to my July 2010 Prague, Czech Republic mission.
I want to introduce you to Anessa Joy, who God has so graciously allowed, not only in my life in the form of wonderful friendship, but as the beautiful soul who introduced to me the idea of English Camp in the Czech Republic in the first place.

She is a Senior this year, which means she is juggling graduating on top of planning an adventure out of this continent, with large amounts of life thrown in. This girl does not take life in teaspoon-sized amounts.

Blessing would be many, difficulties surprisingly - blessedly - few. We are thankful for details already completed and still happening every day. The most recent being both Anessa and myself's flights being completely booked - this is exciting!

Right now we're both concentrating on" completion of the school year, (attempting to) balance life, missing one another (Anessa lives in California), helping others attending the mission/camp with lesson plans, albeit long distance, and fun things like friendship bracelet patterns to make with fun little Czech campers.

If you would be so kind, we would both appreciate your continued prayer support (we are so thankful thus far!) as we anticipate the trip in the fast-flying days - less than 71 until we fly out! I will update again soon, as time permits.

Much love,
Havi
